Shane Prendergast
Shane Prendergast (born 1986) is an Irish hurler who plays as a left corner-back for the Kilkenny senior team.
Born in Clara, County Kilkenny, Prendergast first excelled at hurling during his schooling at St. Kieran's College. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team before later joining the intermediate side. He made his senior debut during the 2014 league. Since then he has won one Leinster medal.
At club level Prendergast is a one-time championship medallist with Clara. In addition to this he has also won All-Ireland, Leinster and championship medals in the intermediate grade.
His father, Paddy Prendergast, is a three-time All-Ireland medallist with Kilkenny.
